On the 10th Week of Christmas, my class gave
to me
a holiday notebook to make my planning easy…
Creating Your Holiday Notebook (a.k.a. Your Spare
Holiday Brain)
Stress
is the uninvited guest that joins our festivities when
we wait until the last minute to complete the whirlwind
of holiday to-dos. They key to a stress-free,
tradition-filled, creative and cherished holiday season
is planning ahead.
We will also
say over and over:
Yes, I’m sending
Christmas Cards this Year.
How many of you
have the best intentions to send cards… only to discover
it is too late? This year, we start on this task early.
Using a master address book template (choose from
printed or Excel) we create a master list for this
year—and every year! The goal? To have all of our names
and addresses together in one place in the next three
weeks so we can get our cards out on time.
On the 9th Week of Christmas, my class gave to me
a way to avoid spending sprees….
A
Holiday Budget
The
commercialization of Christmas has left many of us with
credit card bills in our stockings. Without planning,
we often turn to “quick solutions” in stressful times.
Marketers know this—why do you think all those beautiful
gift baskets/packages are at eye-level in every store?
This week we create an overall budget and spending plan
for the season to help us avoid post-holiday blues and
create magical memories without living beyond our means.

ideas for homemade solutions. This week we create our
master gift-giving list including who will receive
homemade gifts and purchased gifts. Budget amounts will
also be included. By week’s end you will have a complete
spending plan and gift list to check off as the holidays
get closer. You’ll receive an introduction to
simple-to-make gifts that are covered in our Christmas
Creative Camp Week.
